Day 1 - Istanbul - Malatya: (D)
Arrival to Istanbul or Ankara. Transfer to your flight to Malatya. Short sightseeing tour. Dinner and overnight in Malatya.

Day 2 - Malatya - Arslantepe - Adiyaman: (B, L, D)
Departure after breakfast for visit to the newly excavated prehistoric and Hittite ruins of Arslantepe including Public Houses, Palaces, Tombs and Temples. Lunch. Lecture by the head of the Italian archaeological mission Prof. Marcella Frangipane. Drive to Adiyaman. Dinner and overnight.

Day 3 - Adiyaman - Nemrut Dagi - Urfa: (B, L, D)
Excursion to Mount Nemrut through the magnificent local landscape. Visit the Commagene's Tumulus with the sanctuary of the giant statues. At the summit of this dominating position, surrounded by Greek Gods wearing Phrygian hats, Antiochos Oecumenic's dream seems more plausible. Your guide will elaborate on one of the most intriguing period of Anatolia's history. Continue to Urfa. Dinner and overnight.

Day 4 - Urfa - Gaziantep - Antakya:
(B, L, D)

Visit Urfa, one of the oldest Babylonian cities, including the Crusaders Fortress and the Callirhoe Fountain, drive through Gaziantep. Admire the Fortress. Lunch en route. Continue to Antakya. Dinner and overnight. 

Day 5 - Antakya - Adana - Tarsus - Mersin: (B, L, D)
Visit famous old Antioch including the Cave of St. Peter and the Museum of Mosaics. Lunch. Continue to Mersin, drive through Tarsus the native town of St. Paul. Arrival Mersin for dinner and overnight.

Day 6 - Mersin - Kanyteleiss - Elaiussa Sebaste - Korykos - Yumuktepe - Adana - Istanbul: (B, L, D)
Drive to Kanlidivane, the ancient Kanyteleiss. Visit. 

Then continue to the new excavations of Elaiussa Sebaste (Merdivenli Kuyu) which was during the Roman period, one of the most important cities of Cilicia Aspera. Visit the Necropolis, the Theatre, Temple, Baths and the Byzantine Basilica. Lecture by the head of the Italian archaelogical mission, Prof. Eugenia Equini Schneider. Continue on to Kizkalesi the ancient Korykos, short visit. Lunch en route. Then drive to visit the excavations of Yumuktepe. Lecture by the head of the Italian archaeological mission, Prof. Isabella Caneva of the University La Sapienza of Rome. Drive to Adana airport for your flight to Istanbul. Arrival Istanbul, transfer to your hotel. Dinner and overnight.

Day 7 - Istanbul: (B, L, D)
Full day visit of Istanbul including the Blue Mosque, St. Sophia, the Archaeological Museum and Topkapi Palace. After lunch a visit to Suleymaniye, Kariye and the Grand Bazaar. Dinner and overnight.

Day 8 - Istanbul: (B)
Transfer to the airport.
SPECIAL ARCHAEOLOGY TOURS
• The tours are organized in cooperation with the Associazione di Cultura e Amicizia Italo - Turca (The Izmir Turkish - Italian Association of Friendship and Culture) the President of which is Alex C. Baltazzi, (
«) Karavan's founder and President. With these particular tours, we will visit the sites recently excavated by the various Italian archaeology missions. Lectures will be given at the sites by the archeologist, heads of these missions. With these tours, we have the opportunity to include the most prestigious archaeological finds in Turkey such as Ephesus, Nemrut Dag, Antakya, etc.
