Day 1 - Istanbul - Izmir: (D)
Arrival Istanbul. Transfer to your flight to Izmir. In Izmir, transfer to your hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 2 - Izmir - Kyme - Pergamon - Izmir:

Arrival Izmir early morning after a short sightseeing. Drive to Kyme to visit the new excavated area of the ancient capital of Aeolis. Visit the famous Harbour and its fortifications, the Theatre etc. Attend lecture by the head of the Italian archaeological mission Prof. Sebastiana Lagona of the University of Catania. After lunch continue to Pergamon, the capital of the powerful Attalids visit the Acropolis with its magnificant ruins and the famous Asklepion. Return to Izmir for dinner and overnight.
Day 3 - Izmir - Ephesus - Iasos - Bodrum:

Early departure for Ephesus, and a visit of its imposing ruins. Lunch en route. Continue to Iasos to visit this new excavated area, with its Necropolis, Bouleterion, Temples, House of Mosaics, Funeral Monuments, Antiquarium etc. Attend lecture by the head of the Italian archaeological mission Prof. Fede Berti of the National Archaeological Museum of Ferrara. Continue to Bodrum, dinner and overnight.
Day 4 - Halicarnassus - Tavsan Adasi - Bodrum:

Visit Bodrum and the ancient Halicarnassos Castle of St. John, the Underwater Museum. The site of the famous Mausoleum and the Theatre, after lunch, sail to Tavsan Adasi where excavations and restorations are in process by the Italian archaeological mission. Visit the Byzantine church. Attend lecture by the head of this mission, Prof. Maria Andalaro of the University of Viterbo. Dinner and overnight at Bodrum.
Day 5 - Bodrum - Aphrodisias - Pamukkale:

Early departure for Aphrodisias. The City of the Goddess Aphrodite, visit the ruins including the unique Stadium and the beautiful statues |
from the famous sculpture school of Aphrodisias. Lunch. Continue to Pamukkale. Dinner and overnight.
Day 6 - Pamukkale - Hierapolis of Phrigya:

We start our visit at Pamukkale site of ancient Hierapolis and famous for as its snow-white terraces formed by thermal waters cascading down the hillside, visit the new excavations of the marble road, the Theatre in the process of restoration, the Commercial Agora, the Nympheum, the Necropolis and the Basilica. Lecture by the head of the archaeological Italian mission Prof. Francesco d' Andria from the University of Lecce. Lunch and an opportunity to swim in the warm thermal waters. Dinner and overnight.
Day 7 - Pamukkale - Izmir - Istanbul:

Drive to Izmir Airport with lunch en route. Fly to Istanbul. Dinner and overnight.
Day 8 - Istanbul: (B, L, D)
Full day visit of Istanbul including the Blue Mosque, St. Sophia, Topkapi Palace and
the Archaeological Museum. After lunch, a visit to Suleymaniye, Kariye and the Grand Bazaar. Dinner and overnight.
Day 9 - Istanbul: (B)
Transfer to the airport.
