Byzantine / Ottoman Marvels: (Half day)
St. Sophia - One of the greatest marvels of
architecture constructed as a basilica in the 6th century by
Emperor Justinian.
Hippodrome - Center of sporting (chariots races,
athletics) events and political activities of the old city.
Blue Mosque - Facing St. Sophia famous for its blue Iznik
tiles and unique with 6 minarets built in the name of Sultan
Ahmet.
Museum of Turkish & Islamic Arts - Display of art
collection from different civilizations of Anatolia.
Grand Bazaar - Most attractive shopping center and the
biggest souk in the world with nearly 4000 shops of antiques,
jewelry, gold, carpets and leatherware.
AS/2 - Byzantine / Ottoman Wonders: (Half day)
Topkapi Palace - Imperial residence of Ottoman Sultans
exhibiting imperial treasury, Chinese porcelain, weapons,
calligraphy section.
Suleymaniye Mosque - Masterpiece of famous architect
Sinan, built in the name of Suleyman the Magnificent during
the 16th century.
Basilica Cistern - Many underground cisterns were built
during the Byzantine Empire, the largest and the most ornate
cistern, in its construction, columns and capitals of earlier
temples were used and this provides a very decorative
appearance.
AS/3 - The Golden Horn: (Half day)
St. Saviour in Chora - (Kariye Museum) Originaly formed
the center of a Byzantine Monastery complex. Only the church
section which was dedicated to Jesus Christ the Saviour, has
survived.
Eyup Mosque - Burial place of Eyup Ensari, standard bearer
to the Prophet Muhammed, who is said to have died during the
first Arab siege of Constantinople in the 7th century.
Pierre Loti - A teahouse, probably actually patronized by
the author, from the terrace of which one gets a good view of
the Golden Horn.

AS/4 -
Bosphorus by boat: (Half day)
Bosphorus by boat - Cruise the waterway separating the two
continents of Asia and Europe, with possibility to take of
pictures marble palaces, ancient wooden villas of Ottoman
architecture besides modern residences and luxurious apartment
buildings.
Rumeli Fortress - Historical armament built by the
conquerer Fatih Sultan Mehmet to control and protect the
Bosphorus. A unique example of military architecture.
AS/5 - Dolmabahce
& Asia: (Half day)
Dolmabahce Palace - The last residence of the Ottoman
Sultans with 365 rooms and 22 salons. Famous for it's great
collection of European antiques, furniture and 4.5 tons of
chandeliers.
Camlica Hill - Exposing a panoramic view of Istanbul and
Bosphorus from the best point of view.
Beylerbeyi Palace - A small village by the Bosphorus
called Beylerbeyi where we visit, the 19th century summer
palace of the late sultans.
AS/6 - Byzantine
Ottoman: (Full day)
Combination
of tour AS/1 and AS/2 incl. Lunch.
AS/7 - Wonders
and Golden Horn: (Full day)
Combination of tour AS/2 and AS/3 incl. Lunch.
AS/8 - Bosphorus and Asia: (Full day)
Combination of tour AS/4 and AS/5 incl. Lunch.
AS/9 - The Princes' Island: (Full day)
Cruise in the Marmara Sea to Princes Islands with a stop at
Buyukada, the popular resort with sandy beach and pinewood
scenery. Once the pleasure island of Byzantine Princes, we
will tour the island by horse drawn carriages. Lunch.
AS/10 - Istanbul by night
Drive through illuminated Istanbul and tour the Bosphorus
coastline. Dinner at a first class restaurant with half bottle
of wine or a soft drink. Watching a floorshow of famous belly
dancers, typical Anatolian folklore and Turkish singers.
Note:
Tours from Istanbul to Bursa, Ephesus and Cappadocia also
offered via private car or regular sightseeing tour bus. Tour
